That's interesting. I would guess that the opposite would be true. That the difference between 70-80 would feel greater.
There is a lot of variables that could influence your perception though. Like the rate of acceleration that you've mentioned, your car might start vibrating more at 70. Maybe the trees along the road are not as evenly spaced as you thought, if that's what you judged it by:) That's all it comes down to right? How did you measure/experience the change in speed. The only variable that seems inherit to acceleration itself is the G-force. And G-force should feel the same no matter your speed, and only be dependant on the rate of acceleration.
